SaddorisTrophy-FinalFour

A Central College basketball player was featured nationally for his charitable work.

Sophomore Jordan Saddoris of Ankeny was recognized at this year’s NCAA Basketball Final Four as a member of the Allstate National Association of Basketball Coaches Good Works Team.

Saddoris is among 10 players cited from all levels of college basketball. There were a record 154 players nominated.

It’s the second time this year that a Central student-athlete has received Good Works Team recognition and the fifth time overall in the brief history of the program. Football player Jake Wassenaar of Pella was cited in football this past fall and was honored at the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans on New Year’s Day.

Saddoris has made five trips to Africa to provide mission work and is planning a sixth trip this summer. He’s also the youngest member of the board of directors of Acts 2 Collective, a combination of four charitable organizations that provide assistance in Africa.
