The City of Pella has released their tulip status map to track how tulips are growing ahead of May’s Tulip Time Festival.

City staff, with the help of volunteers, planted more than 101,000 bulbs last fall. City of Pella Community Services Director Jeanette Vaughan says they plant a wide variety of tulips to help make sure some are in bloom throughout different points in the season.
