Weather has put a damper on the baseball seasons for both Coe and Central, and they both will see action against one another in the Tulip City this afternoon. Between the two schools, they have combined for the least number of games played total of any Iowa Conference schools up to this point. The 4 – 9 Dutch are coming off a split four-game set versus Luther last weekend, and will have to contend with another league team that hits the ball well; the Kohawks are batting .318 through 14 games, and they have pitching to back them up. Coe’s staff ERA is 3.97, which is the second lowest in the conference. Coach Matt Schirm is looking for the same fire from his team that came from behind multiple times against the Norse last series. The 7-inning game of the doubleheader is set to start at 1:00 p.m. The 9-inning affair will be at around 3:30, and you can hear the call live on KNIAKRLS.com or on our free mobile app with Cory Houser on the play-by-play. Pre-game coverage is set to begin at 3:15 p.m.
