The phases of the Oskaloosa Street reconstruction project have been set.

The contractor is working on the first part near East 16th Street, and that portion will conclude today. Stage two stretches from East 16th to East 13th Street, or the area in front of Pella Motors, and will begin Monday. Both intersections at East 16th and East 13th will be partially open. This stage of the project will be complete before Tulip Time in May. Stage three will follow from East 13th to East 10th, which is the area near HyVee. The fourth portion will include the stretch from East 10th to the stretch adjacent to Caldwell Park, and the final part will wrap up at Prairie Street.

Each phase will start as weather permits, and the overall project is scheduled for completion late this fall. Detours will be posted along Roosevelt Road, SE 8th Street, and Truman Road as the project progresses through the summer and fall.
