Intro to Horticulture students from Pella High School and FFA hosted a boutonnière and corsage workshop this week.

This event was open to all Pella students, and 30 were in attendance. FFA Instructor Jacob Bowers says they were able to save as much a $50 on their flowers for prom by making their boutonnieres and corsages themselves.

He says the purpose of this event was to stimulate the study and interest in production and retailing of flowers, plants, and foliage through the Agricultural Education curriculum.

Florence Vander Meiden of Pella was invited in to assist the Intro to Horticulture students with the workshop.
