Deputies from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call from a woman claiming Tyler Joynt of Knoxville, had assaulted her on Wednesday.

The victim claimed that Joynt punched her in the face during an argument and showed authorities swelling and bruising under her right eye. Deputies spoke with Joynt who did not deny striking the the victim, but claimed that she had scratched him during the argument. Joynt is charged with domestic abuse assault causing injury.
