Contractors are ahead of schedule on a major road project in Pella.

Phase two of the Oskaloosa Street reconstruction begins this week, with the road closed between East 16th and East 13th Street, or the area next to Pella Motors. Both intersections remain partially open, and the detour pushes travelers to Roosevelt Road. This portion of the road will be repaved and have the water and sewer upgraded by Tulip Time. Three stages remain, and will be started as weather permits.
