Marion County Assessor Neil Morgan wants home and business owners in Marion County to be aware of tax credits they can apply for to lighten the burden of property taxes.

The Homestead Credit applies to anyone who owns a home and lives in it. Morgan said homeowners should check their tax bill to make sure they are receiving it. A Military Credit only requires DD214 papers to be filed with the Assessor’s office. The business property tax credit applies to any commercial property and owners should double check to make sure they are signed up for it. For more information on any of these programs and to apply contact the Marion County Assessor’s Office.
