Nicholas Wade Carter has been sentenced to ten years in prison after multiple violations of his parole agreement.
In March 2013, Carter, then age 19, was arrested and charged with 2nd degree arson in connection with a fire at 110 East Robinson in downtown Knoxville. Carter was sentenced to ten years, which was suspended if he could meet the terms of his parole. Carter missed meetings with his parole officer, did not maintain consistent employment, continued to use controlled substances and did not stay at the address he had agreed to. For these offenses the sentence suspension was lifted and he will now serve the full ten years.
