Tonight is opening night at the Knoxville Raceway.

The season kicks off with the weekly Cup Championship Series, all leading up to Knoxville Nationals Week beginning August 10. Raceway Director John McCoy tells KNIA/KRLS News his staff has been working hard to prepare for the start of the season. McCoy adds that he’s excited about the Raceway’s newly installed sound system. Hot laps begin at 6:45 p.m. and time trials will be started by 7:15 p.m.
