Less than three weeks remain until the 81st annual Tulip Time festival in Pella.

Steering Committee Chair Amy Van Haaften tells KNIA/KRLS News the committee has been hard at work since last year’s celebration ended.

Van Haaften says downtown has already started to transform as they get set for thousands of visitors May 5th through the 7th.

She says visitors and residents will get to enjoy some new features, as well as many traditions.

“We have a new group that is trying to raise some funds and they are actually going to be taking pictures of guests or whoever wants to do it in Dutch costumes,” she says.
