Shawn Laird, 41, of Knoxville who is currently being held in the Madison County Jail for possession of stolen property, aggravated assault on a peace officer and eluding was charged with criminal mischief in the 2nd degree after he caused extensive damage to the jail cell he occupied.

Images provided by the Madison County Sheriff’s Department show that Laird broke a window and smashed a television along with general mayhem he purportedly caused. The damage is estimated at around $3,000 and no one was injured during the incident which occurred on April 14.
