Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a man who had camped out in the woods at the end of 150th Street on the south side of Lake Red Rock for two counts of carrying weapons and sexual abuse in the third degree.

Damien Dominic Perez of Fayetteville, Arkansas was approached by officers after being reported by a resident in the area Saturday afternoon. Perez had several bags and blankets in his possession and officers asked to search them for illegal items and Perez submitted to the search. Deputies found a Taurus .40 hand gun and two pairs of nunchucks. Perez was arrested and booked into the Marion County Jail for carrying weapons and sexual abuse in the 3rd degree. The file for the second charge has been sealed by the court.
