As people gear up for summer, many are looking forward to Thursdays in Pella.
Every Thursday in June and July has it’s own mini festival with food vendors, entertainment, and activities for all ages.
Pella Chamber Events Coordinator Sarah Treft compares it to Tulip Time on a smaller scale and says every week will have a different theme.
“Some new themes and things that we have is our Hometown Heroes, we want to pay tribute to those who are active or are veterans. Then we kind of try to do something around Father’s day each year so we have our Who Let the Dad’s Out and that kind of focuses on dads and sons and daughters and activities for them. Also, with the Olympics coming up this year, we are also going to try to do something centered around the Olympics,” says Treft.
A lot of themes will be returning including Families First Night as well as the Paws in the Park Pet Night. Treft says these events take many volunteers to help make everything happen. Those wishing to help can contact the Pella Chamber of Commerce.
