Additional charges have been filed against residents accused of passing counterfeit currency in Pella.

The Pella Police Department received arrest warrants for Jake and Rebecca Puckett for one count each of forgery, a class D felony. Police say the couple passed counterfeit $20 bills at a downtown business on April 8th.

The additional report was received by officers after the arrests of Jake and Jacob Puckett were made earlier this month. Jake, 48, and Jacob, 31, each are charged with two counts of forgery.

Investigators followed up on calls and reports from businesses receiving fake $20 bills, and reviewed security footage to make the initial arrests prior to the latest charges.

Jake and Rebecca, age 55, were arrested on the warrants when they appeared at the Marion County Courthouse for proceedings on prior criminal charges.
