Volunteer time slots are open for those who want to help share Pella’s traditions during Tulip Time this May.

Carol Williamson with the Pella Historical Society Board tells KNIA/KRLS News they are looking for residents to help guide tourists during the celebration.

“When visitors come to Pella, they want to see and hear all about this rich Dutch history and this is one way that everyone in the community can and needs to come forward assist us in that telling of our story,” she says.

Those who sign up will need to wear Dutch costumes, and Williamson says they will assist in obtaining a uniform. No experience is necessary.
