There was much drama to be had last night in Gilbert between the Tigers and Pella High’s boys’ soccer team. Will Warner scored the only regulation goal for Pella High, but it was not enough, as the allotted 80 minutes ended in a 1 – 1 tie. In the best-of-five penalty kick shootout, each team pounded in three goals, so both teams had to keep going. Sam Warner saved the Tiger attempt, and the Little Dutch made theirs, giving them the 2 – 1 OT win. Pella’s record swells to 5 – 5, and they have the weekend off to prepare for a visit on Tuesday from former conference foe, Knoxville.
