Nathan Leland Minard

Nathan Leland Minard was sentenced Wednesday at federal court in Des Moines.

Minard was stopped by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies in November 2014 and threatened them with a stolen shotgun. After being taken into custody Minard was found to be in possession of stolen property from several Marion County households . Minard pled guilty to felon in possession of a firearm, and received 10 years in federal prison and three years of supervised release at the end of that term. As there’s no parole in the federal system, Minard will serve all ten years of the sentence. A victim of Minard who wished to remain anonymous told KNIA/KRLS News he was pleased with the sentence.
