Less than a week and a half remains before the 81st annual Tulip Festival.

Steering Committee Chair Amy Van Haaften says parts of downtown are already transforming, but having good timing when it comes putting everything together takes hard work to accomplish.

“It does take a lot of organization, because we have to have everything move-in in the right order to make everything work out,” she says.

Van Haaften says volunteers are meeting regularly between now and when visitors first arrive next Wednesday evening to make final preparations.
