Pella Regional Health Center has named Karol Watson, BA, RN, to the role of manager of Hospice of Pella.

Watson has worked in Hospice of Pella for the past 3 years, most recently as supervisor. Hospice of Pella at Pella Regional is focused on specialized symptom management and providing for emotional and spiritual needs that arise during the dying process. Staff emphasizes quality of life for patients and their families, whether it is in the patient’s own home or at the Comfort House.

“Hospice care gives patients the time they need and the permission they need and the information they need to make informed choices. The staff I work with is wonderful. They do everything they can to help the patients savor whatever time they have left. I love hospice. If I can help people have a good death it’s so rewarding. It’s a spiritual moment,” said Watson.
