The Knoxville Girls Golf Squad placed third at the South Central Conference Meet yesterday. Rain halted the meet after nine holes and Centerville being the team to beat won the event by eight shots over Chariton. Knoxville finished with a total of 206. Knoxville’s Sierra Findley finished in a four-way tie for first place with a 46 and earned all-conference as did Maggie Leavitt, who finished with a 51. Coach Matt Heston told KNIA/KRLS Sports this was the best round of golf the girls have played all season. He adds with the end of the season nearing, he hopes they keep up that effort.
