Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) Honors Program student Dylan Nikkel of Pella has been named to the 2016 All-USA Community College Academic Team.

The honor recognizes community college students from across the USA who display an outstanding combination of academic achievement and community service. Nikkel received a $5000 scholarship from the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Iowa community college students selected can attend either the University of Iowa or Iowa State University on a full tuition scholarship. Nikkel graduated from the DMACC Newton Campus in December of 2015.
