A soggy night rained out most of our action for local baseball and softball teams as storms pushed through the area.

The Pella baseball team went up 7-1 on Bondurant-Farrar in the 1st inning before lightning stopped the action — the softball team on the field next door was just about into starting lineups before the same bolt stopped play. Both teams are off tonight for graduation and return to action at home Tuesday, with the softball team facing off with Colfax-Mingo and the baseball team hosting Nevada.
