A three run home run in the first inning by Ricki Hall would be the only runs the Knoxville Softball Team would score in a 9-3 loss to the Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Rockets yesterday afternoon.

The game would be moved up in time to avoid the rain, and the early start time seemed to favor the Lady Panthers early on as they would strike first on the deep home run to straight center field by Hall, but the Rockets would quickly regain the lead. Nine unanswered runs would doom the Panthers who fall to 0-2 on the season. Coach Steph Christner told KNIA/KRLS Sports that the team has been very strong defensively to start the season. The Panther will try to pick up their first win of the season this morning in a tournament in Centerville.
