The Eagles girls soccer team is hoping to get deeper in the postseason in their second year as a revitalized varsity program tonight on the road.
Pella Christian will hit the road against Bondurant-Farrar in the first round of the Class 1A regional playoffs. The Bluejays at 6-11 have fallen to common opponents Pella, Norwalk, and Des Moines Christian, who Pella Christian topped to start the season and a team coach Mike Buchheit felt his girls were well on their way to beat before weather stopped their match Thursday.
The 6-9 Eagles will lean on their one-two duo of Cailey Terpstra and Laura DeZwarte for offense, as each have eight goals this year.
Pella Christian and Bondurant-Farrar will play at 6 p.m. this evening.
