The Knoxville Dance Team is holding two fundraisers.

The team is holding a garage sale with items from 23 families and a variety of donated merchandise. All proceeds will benefit the team. The sale will be held Saturday, June 4 from 7 a.m to noon at Knoxville High School. In addition, the team is hosting a community-wide talent competition Thursday, June 9 at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center. Half of the proceeds from the $5 admission will benefit Backpack Buddies and the remaining funds will be split among Helping Hands, the Youngs Park Miracle Playground project, and the Humane Society. Heidi Feldman, coach of the team says the team identified giving back to the community as a primary goal this year. Feldman says acts for the talent show range from ages 5 to 16 and that each performer will share a little bit about what they love about being on stage.
