The Oskaloosa Indians finished off the regular season sweep of Knoxville Baseball on Wednesday night with a 4-1 victory in Knoxville after sweeping a doubleheader last week in Oskaloosa. Just like the two games last week, the Indians jumped ahead and although Knoxville kept it close, the Panthers could never quite get over the hump. Rylan Cox pitched five innings in his first varsity start, but allowed two runs in both the first and third innings on two out hits. Knoxville scored one in the fifth inning when Trent Davis doubled with two outs and scored on a ground ball hit by Calyn Bumgardner. Knoxville recorded only three hits in the game that took just one hour and twenty minutes to play. Knoxville is now 2-5 on the season. The Panthers are back in action on Friday night with a South Central Conference doubleheader at Albia.
