A new book will be added to the bag new moms and babies receive at Pella Regional Health Center starting this week.

Director of Families First of Pella Jodi Bokhoven presented the books to Pella Regional’s obstetrics nurses.

Bokhoven tells KNIA/KRLS News the main goal of Families First of Pella is to enable parents and children to make a positive impact in the world through reading.

Through a gift from the Pella Community Foundation and Families First of Pella, nearly 300 families will receive a board book to encourage parents to read to their newborn.
