Both the PCM Baseball and Softball Teams would claim 4-3 victories in their respective games against the Comets of North Polk in exciting fashion.

The Softball team would gain a 4-0 lead before the Comets rallied to score three in a row, but the Mustangs defense would hold tough and secure the win for PCM. The Mustangs baseball squad were not content with seven innings of work in their game, as PCM held a 1-0 lead until the top of the seventh inning where North Polk would score three runs to take the lead. Unwavering, the Mustangs would score the tying run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the inning, and a Ryan Hill walkoff single scored Noah Clark to claim victory. Austin Brown went the whole way for the Mustangs and earned the win while collecting two hits, and Braden Phifer also contributed two hits. The Softball team travels to Bondurant for a weekend tournament, while the boys will play area rival Pleasantville tonight.
