Now that classes are out at Pella Community Schools, many construction projects are ramping up and transforming some of the buildings.

Superintendent Greg Ebeling says crews have started to tackle the brunt of the high school renovations.

Construction on those upgrades is expected to continue through next summer. A new front entry is also being installed at Jefferson Intermediate School.

The improvements have been part of a bond referendum passed in 201
