Current players, alumni, and fans of the Pella and Pella Christian baseball and softball teams put on their swinging shoes to raise funds for mission work last night.

Many Hands for Haiti held a home run derby following the Tulip City summer teams’ rivalry games.

Executive Leader Tim Brand tells KNIA/KRLS News the experience brought everyone together to raise money for their mission. Brand says the home runs will benefit a school Many Hands for Haiti continues to develop on the island nation.

Participants socked over 40 home runs, with pledges and donations still being tallied.
