The Knoxville Heritage Community Foundation’s annual grant program will award its latest round of grants June 21.
Established in 1985, the foundation is Knoxville’s oldest non-profit organization. It was established to enhance the community by raising funds to be invested in special projects for the future of Knoxville. President Maggie Hamilton-Beyer tells KNIA/KRLS News examples of recent projects that received funding include: Brooks Garden, Bessie Spaur Butterfly Garden, Knoxville Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum Expansion, Knoxville Public Library, the Grand Theater Renovation, the Knoxville Performing Arts Center, and Ken Locke Stadium. The ceremony will take place at the Grand Theater at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21.
