The Bussey Bombers ten-U girls fast pitch team won the USSSA Iowa State Tournament on Sunday with a 3-1 win over the Cambridge Riverhawks. The Bombers started off the day with a strong win over the West Des Moines Tigers. In the next game they tied the Riverhawks 5-5. Later that day they secured a spot in the semi-finals with a 6-0 win over the Urbandale J-Hawks. The Bussey Bombers have now earned a spot in the USSSA National Championship this July in Kansas City. The team will be sponsoring a co-ed slow pitch tournament this weekend to raise money for the trip. If you would like to donate to the Bombers, they have set up a GoFundMe page.
