A 5K and 10K fundraiser run will once again be a part of Balloonfest activities this July at Lake Red Rock.
Race organizer Mike Buchheit says proceeds from the 5th annual race will benefit athletics programs at Pella, Pella Christian, and Knoxville High Schools.
He says the 5k route is mostly hard surface, and the 10k is more reflective of a cross country race.
The event will start at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 9th at North Overlook Beach. Registration costs $20 for individuals and the price varies for teams based on size. There is a Friday, June 23rd deadline to guarantee a t-shirt.
