The Red Rock Lake Association, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pella Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce are preparing for the 6th Annual Lake Red Rock Balloon Fest.

More than thirty hot air balloons, pilots and their crews will soar over the Red Rock Lake Area July 8th through the 10th.

Jill Vandevoort with the Pella Convention and Visitors Bureau says scheduled activities for the weekend include launches in the morning and evening throughout the four-day celebration. Vandevoort says there will also be an additional evening of the North Overlook Beach party this year.

Friday, July 8, 2016
6:30 pm Opening launch*. Iowa State Savings Bank Cup Race. Food and drink on beach.
6:00-10:00 pm – Live Band “King of the Tramps”

Saturday, July 9, 2016
6:30 am Morning balloon launch*
8:00 am 5K and 10K FUNdraiser Run ($20 Registration) – North Overlook Beach
9:00 – 11:00 am “Let’s Go Paddling” – offered by Army Corps of Engineers
6:00-10:00 pm – Rock Bottom Band at North Overlook Beach, sponsored by Wells Fargo Banks
6:30 pm Evening Balloon Launch*
