The annual Marion County Historical Reenactment will be July 2 this year.

Special activities will be available with re-enactors at the Marion County Park Village. Visitors will meet the Army of the Southwest as they do Civil War maneuvers as well as ladies in Victorian era dress. O.J. Fargo, President of the Army of the South West says remembering Civil War history is important to understanding the essence of America. The historical buildings of the Marion County Historical Society will also be open for the event. There will be no admission charge.
