Independence Day activities are set for Monday, July 4th in Pella, with activities in Central Park during the day, a parade in the afternoon, and fireworks located by Madison Elementary in the evening.

The City of Leighton is holding a day long celebration on Friday, July 1st, with an afternoon parade scheduled and the band Six Pool performing. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big and Big Red Radio will be participating in 4th of July parades throughout Marion County during Independence Day Weekend, and KNIA/KRLS will be broadcasting patriotic music throughout fireworks celebrations on July 1st through the 4th.
