The Twin Cedars Baseball squad now has sole possession of the first place in the Bluegrass Conference after the Sabers 2-0 win over Moravia last night. Trace Embray pitched a three hit gem, striking out 11 Mohawk batters. He helped his own cause by hitting a solo homerun in the bottom of the third innings to give Twin Cedars a 1-0 lead. Jake Crozier then hit a pinch hit RBI double in the sixth. Coach Brian Moore tells KNIA/KRLS Sports it is no surprise that Moravia gave the Sabers all they could handle. The Sabers are 4-0 in the BGC and host Pleasantville on Monday. The Saber softballers fell to Moravia 9-0 last night. Jensen Hastings took the loss going the distance striking out three and walking three. The Sabers were limited to just two hits on the night. Twin Cedars is now 1-11 and head to the North Mahaska Invitational to play Pleasantville and the host Warhawks today.
