Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible in the area through Wednesday morning.

According to the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center, a slight risk of severe weather has been issued for most of Iowa in the evening and overnight hours Tuesday.

A slight risk has also been posted for Wednesday for Marion County, with worse conditions expected to the north and east. Thunderstorms bringing heavy rain are in the forecast, with a chance of large hail and damaging winds as well.
