The Knoxville Softball team picked up a huge win against south Central Conference opponent Albia last night in a 7-6 game heard live on AM1320 and FM95.3 KNIA.

The Panthers started strong in the first two inning scoring six runs helped by RBI hits from Emily Wallace and Ricki Hall, but Albia would strike back scoring the next six runs punctuated by a two run home run to tie the score. It would remain at sixes until the bottom of the sixth where a Carrie Chambers infield hit plus some heads up baserunning would put her on second, and another RBI single from Wallace would put the Panthers ahead for good. Albia had a runner on second with one out in the seventh, but a line drive up the middle was snagged by Wallace who quickly tagged second base for the game ending double play. Jada Agan picked up the win in the circle for the Panthers, who have won four in a row and play against A-D-M tonight.
