Four home runs. That is all that was hit by the Knoxville Softball Team all season before last night when the Panthers hosted the Mustangs of PCM.

Four more home runs were hit by four different players in a 7-2 victory by the Panthers last night, a show of power that has yet to be seen so far this season until now. Emily Wallace got the scoring started for the Panthers in the first inning with a two run shot, and eventually Knoxville would get ahead by three. PCM clawed their way back into the game first at 3-1 on a sacrifice fly by Jaiden Rogers, then a Shaye Nichols home run would answer back for the Panthers.

PCM once again pushed across a run in the fourth to make it 4-2, but back to back home runs by Ricki Hall and Anna Sanderson would put the game out of reach. Delaynee South picked up the win for Knoxville going seven strong innings. PCM was led by two hits each from Katie VandeWall and Brooke Nicholson, while Kayla Jennings took the loss on the mound. Knoxville improves to 10-14 and play Centerville tonight, while PCM falls to 10-16 and they will get back at it tonight against Nevada.
