The 6th annual Lake Red Rock Balloonfest begins this evening.
The first scheduled launch is set to begin at 6:30 p.m., with balloon pilots attempting to soar over North Overlook Beach. Live entertainment will also be featured at that location from 6 to 10 p.m. A live glow is scheduled at 9 p.m., with balloons lighting up along the beach.
Committee Member Jill Vandevoort says the festival is another way to bolster the Pella and Knoxville tourism economies.
