Regaining back their class 2A status from seasons past, the Pleasantville Trojan Baseball Team is looking to once again make some noise in the postseason. The Trojans will face off against South Central Conference opponent Davis County in the first round of district play tonight.
The Trojans come in on a hot streak, something they are accustomed to, having won 12 of their last 13 and bring a 24-9 record to the table to face off against the Mustangs. The Trojans will rely heavily on the seniors of their lineup to carry them offensively namely outfield Brock Busick who is hitting .451 on the season, and Zeb Adreon who is hitting .411 with seven home runs.
Pleasantville Head Coach Sheldon Card tells KNIA/KRLS Sports that the seniors will help not only at the plate, but with getting the young guys ready for postseason play. The Trojans will have to travel to Centerville to play Davis County, and first pitch will be thrown at 5pm. The winner of the matchup will play Albia on Tuesday, and you can follow all Marion County teams in postseason play on KNIAKRLS.com
