Parts of the Marion County Courthouse are being used for Warren County criminal court.
The Fifth District Judicial Court has determined the Warren County Courthouse is unfit for human occupation because of plumbing and other problems. The court has also determined that there is no other viable venue for court business in Warren County. The court has called for extensive remodeling or for a new facility. Juries are still selected from pools of Warren County citizens. Steve Davis with District Courts say the Marion County Courthouse will continue to be used until the Warren County Courthouse is repaired or an alternate venue is found for Warren County business. Davis added it could be several months before a solution is found.
