The Knoxville panther softball team ran into the juggernaut that was three time defending state champsions Dallas Center-Grimes Saturay night and fell 10-0 in five innings to end their season.
DCG would score a run in the first to take the lead, while the Knoxville offense had trouble keeping up with the Fillies starters. DCG would explode for six runs in the third, and finish off the Panthers with three runs in the bottom of the fifth. The Panthers were led on offense by both Carrie Chambers and Ricki Hall picking up singles. Knoxville ends the season with a 13-17 record, and will say goodbye to six seniors. A full recap of the Panthers season can be heard on the Knoxville Hyvee Radio Coaches Corner in the coming weeks.
