Construction on the planned staging facility for the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum will begin the week following Knoxville Nationals.
Director Bob Baker says the building, being constructed by Neumann Brothers of Des Moines, should be completed by Christmas. The storage facility will allow cars, suits and other memorabilia to be safely stored before and after display, increasing the speed at which exhibits can rotated in and out of the museum. Baker says he and his staff want to offer visitors a unique experience every time they walk through the doors.
