Despite picking up only five hits, the Pleasantville Trojan Baseball Team took advantage of three Albia errors to pick up a 5-1 win over the Blue Demons in the second round of district play tonight.
The Trojans scored a run each in the first and third innings due to errors out in the field by Albia, and then late in the game would tack on a pair of runs on a single to the outfield by Ethan Worthington. Brock Busick reached base four times and scored four runs for the Trojans, while Zeb Adreon gave up only one hit through six innings before faltering in the seventh, but the Trojans would close out the game on a strikeout to punch their ticket to the district finals against Centerville on Saturday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7pm in Albia.
