After getting a big upset win against Albia in the District Semifinal game, the Pleasantville Trojan Baseball Team prepares for its next test, Centerville in the District Final.
The Trojans have ridden strong pitching from starters Colton Major and Zeb Adreon who have given up just three runs so far in two games, but the team has also made it a point to capitalize on their opponents mistakes in the field. In the Albia game, the Trojans took advantage of a normally dependable Blue Demon defense and pushed across early runs to get an early lead and never looked back. Coach Sheldon Card told KNIA/KRLS Sports that the team’s baserunning was a huge advantage. The Trojans vs Centerville game will take place in Albia tonight, first pitch is scheduled for 7pm.
