The Pella City Council approved an increase in water rates at their meeting this week.
City of Pella Finance Director Corey Goodenow tells KNIA/KRLS News the extra charge on accounts is to help pay for $16 million in upgrades to the city’s water system. Goodenow says the increase is part of an incremental series reviewed every year. The charge would mean about $3 more per month on an average City of Pella customer’s bill.
