Defense was never really an issue with the Knoxville Softball Squad this season. The Panthers usually made the routine plays in the outfield and the infield as well, and that was with new faces in the infield and a few players playing new positions. Coach Steph Christner tells KNIA/KRLS Sports after a little getting used to playing new positions, they played well. Christner adds while she was never going to strikeout a great number of batters, pitcher Delaynne South when on, would keep opposing hitters off balance and catcher Anna Sanderson also played well and hopes to improve for next summer.
